TIFFANY TATE
CEO & Creative Director
Tiffany Tate is the Founder and Creative Director of ETAT Productions®, a creative media company specializing in media production, visual branding, event support, and consulting. Driven by a deep passion for storytelling and creative execution, Tiffany’s approach centers on interpreting a vision and bringing it to life through thoughtful strategy, creativity, and impactful experiences.
Tiffany brings more than 20 years of experience across broadcast, virtual, and live production. As a former News Producer, she built her career at the intersection of entertainment and politics, producing major news specials and breaking coverage, including presidential elections, the death of Michael Jackson, and national conversations surrounding social justice issues such as the Trayvon Martin case.
Through ETAT, she has led media and creative work for organizations including the DC Department of Employment Services, the Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement, Wasserman, the Institute for Women’s Policy Research, and BET’s Leading Women Defined. She currently serves as Producer for DMV Links Incorporated and the American Heart Association’s annual Red Dress event, and Technical Director for the ColorComm Conference.
OPAL WATKINS
Director, Strategic Content & Operations
Opal Watkins is a creative strategist and event production leader whose work lives at the intersection of vision and execution. As Director of Strategic Content and Operations at ETAT Productions, she brings over 15 years of experience in stage management, content strategy, and production planning to a team that thrives on delivering meaningful, high-impact experiences for corporate and nonprofit clients.
Opal's strength is in the details that make the whole thing work. She has supported flagship conferences, managed complex, multi-vendor productions, and helped develop brand frameworks that give clients a clear and consistent voice across every touchpoint. Her ability to think creatively while keeping operations grounded is what she brings to every project she is part of at ETAT.
What drives her is simple. She believes events have the power to shift how people think, feel, and connect, and she takes that seriously at every stage of the process. At ETAT Productions, she is proud to be part of a team that holds that standard every time.


JOHN SPEARS
Director of Photography
John Spears is a Washington DC native and media professional with over two decades of experience in broadcast, production, and digital storytelling. A graduate of Bowie State University in Broadcast Journalism, John has worked with major networks including BET, FOX News, CNN, ABC, Bloomberg, and Monumental Sports across roles spanning camera operation, video editing, directing, technical direction, graphics, lighting, and producing.
His work has contributed to coverage of landmark national events including presidential elections, the BET Awards, BET Honors, the Soul Train Awards, and the events of January 6th. In 2010, John founded Visionary Leaders Media, through which he has partnered with news organizations, small businesses, churches, and individuals to produce documentaries, live events, and original programming including the award-winning documentary I AM Black. Beyond production, John is committed to education and community impact, having taught digital media at Bowie State University and the Community College of Baltimore County and currently managing media and youth technology workshops at Bethlehem Baptist Church.
